HEAD VETERINARIANDr. Joe Boecker, DVM, was born and raised on a farm in Ohio and began his veterinary education at Ohio State University, graduating in 1974. After working at renowned farms and elite horse agencies across the U.S., he built a solid career in equine reproduction, internal medicine, and dentistry. He practiced privately, worked in specialized clinics, and served as a consultant for prestigious breeding operations such as Xtra Quarter Horses, before becoming the trusted veterinary consultant for Oklahoma Stud, where he cemented his legacy in equine care and management.
Dawn Gomes
Finance ManagerDawn Gomes has been the financial administrator for Oklahoma Stud since 2019, bringing valuable hands-on business experience from Brazil, where she owned and operated a chain of high-end hair salons. Fluent in Portuguese, she plays a key role in connecting with the company’s Brazilian leadership and excels at finding the right people and resources to turn Oklahoma Stud's vision into reality. Passionate about cooking—especially Brazilian cuisine—Dawn cherishes time with her three daughters and six grandchildren and takes pride in growing alongside the company.
