OKLAHOMA STUD

About Us

Nestled in the heart of horse country, just 1.5 miles off I-35 in Purcell, Oklahoma, Oklahoma Stud sits at the center of one of the most influential regions in the equine industry. Our 135-acre historic ranch has long played a pivotal role in the Quarter Horse breeding world, once home to legendary stallions like Invitation Only, Hot and Blazing, Dash For Perks, and PYC Paint Your Wagon.

Located only 35 miles south of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Stud is proud to be near some of the country’s largest and most prestigious equine events. This makes our ranch a convenient, iconic destination for mare owners and industry professionals seeking top-tier care and results.

Facilities Designed with Purpose

At Oklahoma Stud, we believe exceptional horses deserve an exceptional environment. Our facilities are thoughtfully designed to blend function, safety, and comfort for both horses and humans — at every stage of the reproductive journey.

  • The Main Barn houses 47 stalls for daily care, stallion prep, and visiting mares.

  • The Stud Barn features ten oversized 16′ x 16′ stalls, built for stallion privacy and safety.

  • Adjacent stallion paddocks offer safe turnout, with 20-foot safety lanes between each.

  • Our 27-stall custom Mare Motel supports breeding, foaling, and recovery with ample space.

  • Six large pastures and two natural ponds provide turnout and relaxation areas.

  • Indoor and outdoor arenas are available for clinics, training, and special events.

Every detail reflects our dedication to the horses in our care and to the breeders who entrust us with their programs. Whether you’re staying for the season or just stopping by, you’ll find a facility rooted in history and built for the future.
